Gripe…TV’s in public places

February 28th, 2008

Okay, hubby is not a fan of TV at all, he will watch if there is something interesting and entertaining or worth watching.  I like to watch telly, and I do have my fav shows like, all the CSI’s, Charmed (when they were on - reruns not), Shark, Ghost Whisperer - but I usually don’t have the chance to watch them, I might catch them in reruns like Spike or A&E…

I have not noticed any where here in the Post Office any television while you wait in line? But hubbys says in some places there are…well I know for a fact, when you go to either a car place, in the waiting room its a TV while you wait for your car to be either worked or fixed…Doctor’s offices, Hospital waiting rooms, any place that has a waiting room, there is a television… what does it suppose to do? Keep up busy watching and forget why we are there? I have no clue or answer, but maybe some of you out there has some opinion as to why?

Let me hear from you and maybe we can get an answer of sorts…in the meantime, Be Safe and be happy, life too short to worry about anything else… :o)

Drunk Driving

February 27th, 2008

Now, I will never understand why someone would drink and drive - doesn’t the bar personnel know when that person has had enough and call him a cab? Why let that person go and drive? yes, some say its not my problem, okay, then when is it your problem? Is it your problem, when one night that person you let go home and drive - hit someone and killed them but he walks unscratched? You find out its one of your loved one.. who’s problem is it then?  I can never understand why people take that attitude…its EVERYONE problem - if you know that person is unfit to drive, then take the damn keys away and get him a cab!!

Why wait until it happens to YOU…yeah you don’t care cuz its NOT your family or a friend…so when it does, who’s fault is it?

Case in point…I saw this news from this link and read it, he was so drunk that he drove right in the police station and walked in… read it..

Cont:Living In Condo Community…

February 26th, 2008

Well this is our 2nd month of the new year and our 1st monthly meeting. We have our HOA Meeting tonight at the same place same time - check out our website - http://woodhillplace.com — we are trying to get everyone involved and have them post anything they want to find out. You have to be either a homeowner or a resident at Woodhill Place.

Another surprise is that we have a twin in Europe with the same name! We are working out the details, but they’re called, Woodhill Residents Group - from Scotland!! The President of the WRG emailed our webbey (ie Communication Chair Committee) and he will be handling this. It’s exciting to find out that there is another place with the same name in another part of the world!

Hopefully this meeting will be smooth and in time - also since we also have NEW Board members and new officers!!

Congrats to the following 2 new board members are:

Adam Lorenz, Kathy May and Melissa Owens - President

our New Officers are:

Richard Vivian - Vice President

Angela Paroda - Secretary/Treasurer

Last big push to 1,000 friends
Current mood: Confident we can make it!

Thank you to everyone who has helped us add so many friends over the past few weeks. We are only 215 friends short of our 1,000 friend goal which we hope to accomplish before the end of the month. That means we need to add 43 friends a day for the next five days to reach our goal.

To help with the last push we have put together this code for everyone to paste into the comment section of their friends pages.

Blogging…

February 18th, 2008

Hello fellow readers…

Blogging, someone said that they had no idea how to do it, I told them that all it is, is like writing in a diary really. You write thing that matters to you and want to voice it out for all to see and share in your opinion or maybe someone else’s point of view. Tis always good to get another person’s view on life as you see it.

For instance, I have many acquaintances that i’ve “met” online per say, and I had a tragedy that has happened in my life that I posted - about losing a father…its very hard to lose a loved one and when they are also far away! I never expected to have someone really come along and I could “cry” on their shoulder and just be there. Its hard to say to someone who has lost anyone for that matter, and I know my honey is there…but it was really nice to have a total stranger to be is unexpected. Then there are some just did’nt know what to say… what can you say?

So, for anyone that has been reading my blog lately, I do try to post something on a daily basis, but it might be interesting enough for some of you…but I do try. Life is full of surprises and losing a father is not what I had in mind. I love my parents, and now my worry (besides my son) is my Mom, she misses my Dad terribly, married for 50 yrs….

Love and light to all and thank you for being a reader and a friend…

Hugs :o)
