Hello All,

I know, you were expecting something more than a “hello”…prolly more pictures. Well, I did take more photos with my new camera, but I didn’t take that much, so I think I will wait until maybe tomorrow to download them and share it with you on flickr.

Blogging, its time consuming for me, as I do have a lot on me plate, but I do try to find something to wriet about or moan…I do have somethings to say, but writing and sayin it totally 2 different things.  I sometimes can’t remember what I want to say or forget a work to relate to what I was trying to say or tell…that is frustrating.

This blog was meant for other people to post or write something, but as it turned out there is only me that has been yakking away. I dont’ have interesting things to tell you, but once in awhile, I do have my moan…and I don’t get no comments (maybe a little) to let me know am doing good.

I guess I will just keep on going and write something here, you could say its me diary - so in 10 years time, I can look back and read what I’ve wrote! Boy wouldn’t be interesting!!

I do have a temper and I probably have put some…#*$(^ words in, but hey we’re only human right? So, in the end, I bid all a goodnight and yak again another day!

Working hard, aren't they?

I am really enjoying this new camera, I never thought that I would be taking pics all over the place…I took today, but not a lot, as it was not an exciting place…(work place in Summerville) did take a few but nothing exciting…maybe tomorrow i can take a few more of the place. I’d like to take the pics of all the people that work there, but then again, not sure if they would want me too! :o)

Okay, give a few more tutorial of getting my flickr account and used to how to put pics online for all to see! I’m just getting the hang of it…still need hubby to help me with it, but I took some pics around downtown of where I work. It was a very hot day too, and took a pic of Meeting street one way going towards the battery and the other towards Calhoun…

The Franke Building (has history) converted to Condo suites and has 3 floors and its magnificent inside which  I am lucky to work  in 2 days a week!

This is for my friend and neighbor for….well since I’ve bought this place…we became friends…and today is her special day!!

Okay, today was a surprise kinda day for me…first work was a busy day as usual…hubby came and picked me up after he work with a client at MP (Mt Pleasant)..I though we were going home to make something for dinner…drove thru the mall and turned left…it looked like we were going to our usual hang out for happy hour - Noisy Oyster.

Then suddenly he turn the other way and we were at Applebees!!  Had a great dinner and they offer some great specials for one great price - starts at $9.99 - you get an appetizer, entree and dessert!!

Okay, now am rambling…well after we ate, we were talking about the camera we saw at Radio Shack (had to get  a special tool for a job he is doing for another client)…well i just said if you think we can afford it, get it!

So off we went to Circuit City first to compare and see what else they have on offer…we saw the same camera but for more money - went back to Radio Shack…ok…guess y’all guessed, we got the camera…now he has one and I got one…so you can now keep a look out for pics that I’ve taken with my Canon A580 - its a handy little camera….

Well, it was a great evening had by all and it was wonderful to meet this group!! Ian and I got to the Blend a bit earlier as we heard that parking was not good, but we found one not to far and ordered us both a iced latte and we also were hungry as we didn’t eat dinner - I had the spinach salad with feta cheese, caramelized onions, bacon and some pralines with chicken…(even if they forgot and got it later) it was yuuuummmy! Ian had the Mediterranean salad and it look good too!

There were total of 8 of us that showed and got to meet Rachelle (our hostess), Ana, Norm, Stacy, Crista & Gary….it was great to meet and swap stories all around!

The next meet up is next week July 31st @ Muddy Waters Cafe for Palmetto Acoustic and its going to be another brilliant gathering, as they showcase local talents and it was a brilliant last time and it was standing room as well, so yes we will be there early to get a seat!!

Okay we have a meet-up tonight at Blends in Downtown Charleston close by MUSC -this is for the Coffee Lovers group… can’t wait to meet everyone….

Hello Everyone!

Ah, its been awhile since my last update of this renovation project~!~ I can’t believe it, its almost done, they’ve started on my building (the last one to be done, of course!!) … well I came home from work after a very long day and lo and behold!! They’re really started to paint it and its looking goooddddd!!! Love it!  Well, we are down to the wire of the finishing and they will be doing their inspections tomorrow walk about with the PM and 2 of the BOD (I can’t make it, as work comes first and I don’t get off til later and also have other commitments).

Am sure the 2 BOD members will be critical and I will not issue the check until ALL are finished and done properly of course.  So, well I can’t wait to take the a picture of the whole community to show with our before and after pictures.  All we need to do now is get the landscaping up to speed right along, but I think we are doing fine so far… just trying to get all in order. Like following our Covenants/ByLaws and fine anyone who does not follow. ITs also a way for the HOA to make money for other things that needs attention - we didn’t to refurbish the pool, but with a good pool company (which we hope we do have now) it should be ok but our goal is to have a Club House, that is another way to generate income as well…and also we would love to be a gated community, so this BOD is really working towards to get this community to where it should be.

I live here and I volunteer my time to get this community and feel that once we can get ALL to participate, am sure we will get there, but you know as well as I do, there are some that are annoying and ya know, I really don’t have the time or patience for that and I tell them how it is and if they don’t like…tuff! :o)  I kinda have a reputation apparently that I am a MEAN woman.. so be it… Am happy and don’t care if you like me…I am doing for the good of this community and if you can’t follow the covenants oh well….

Okay, i’ve ramble alot…time for bed…but I will post some pics up with our before and after..and you tell me what you think! We’ve spent A LOT of money…and now we just need to have it maintained well with a good management company and the HOA-BOD working together…(think we have that now in place)

Okay, hubby found this group site called Meet-Up - its where you can meet people and share the same hobbies of sort or just want to go meet and make new friends.  This is a fantastic way to get together or just hang out…there is a meet up group for you!

Well, we both got a bit crazy and join not 1, 2 but a few!! I got a bit confused as there were a few meet-ups and I thought the one that we were looking to go was cancelled so he made me a guest on his meetup group…but it was not, it was another group that decided to meet up on the same night but a different venue!

So, now, i put things on the meet up that I have RSVP on the calendar so that I know what, where, when and who (the group) is meeting and which ones I have RSVP.

The first one that we both attended was a brilliant evening, hubby took some pics and posted them on the group site.  It was the Palmetto Acoustic Group @ Muddy Waters Cafe and my group Chas Women group and it was a fun evening and the music was great! There is a series of Palmetto Acoustic meetup at Muddy Waters and the next one is July 31 @ 7pm - Barnard Sisters is playing.  My friend Pam is one of the Barnard sister and I’m looking forward to hearing them and I’ve already put that on the calendar…

There is another meet up group I join and they are meeting at Blend this coming Thurs - this group is for Coffee Lovers and who likes to go around try all the coffees in all the coffee shops…the first one that I am attending is as said on Thursday…this should be an interesting evening and meeting new people…keep an eye for this blog for this meetup —

Okay, guess that’s it for now, I have other things that needs my attention, like cooking dinner, laundry..etc…it is the weekend after all!

Okay soooo sorry for not updating this blog consistently but you know how it is with what life throws at ya! Okay, well lets see…been working, working and then hubby sends all this stuff to join in like I really have time to, but okay joined a few and then we found a group - meetup - all over charleston…wow this is really a cool way to meet people and make friends and hang out at all different venues all over Charleston! We got silly and joined a few groups - so I need to really keep on top of which group is meeting when and where!

I joined a Womens Group of Charleston, for a group of women just chatting away and enjoying the company - we were at Muddy’s Waters Cafe for this meetup for the Palmetto Acoustic Event and there was another group there and it was a smashing nite - the 2 artists were brilliant and we got a CD from John Pringle, and the other artist…Reed Waddle - lovely voice…both were fantastic…tune in to NAB Radio - great music, true variety!

Of course hubby had his camera and took a few pictures…he has posted them on the group that he belongs to that was there and am sure he will be blogging and putting up the images on his…
